Oklahoma City police arrested a woman who is accused of hitting her boyfriend in the head with a rock.
According to police, at about 6 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the incident at a home in the 2800 block of S. Goff Avenue in Oklahoma City. When officers arrived, they found a man who was covered in a large amount of blood.
Police said the man had several large gashes on his head. The man told police that he had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend, 61-year-old Ethel Elizabeth Eby, and that Eby hit him in the head with a rock.
However, according to police, Eby told a witness that the victim had tried to choke her. She said she was only defending herself.
Eby reportedly left the scene before officers arrived. Police were able to locate her and take her into custody. While being transported to the Oklahoma County jail, police said Eby was very combative and made several threats against the officers.
Eby was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and a misdemeanor count of domestic abuse. She also had warrants out for public drunkenness and paraphernalia.
