OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Authorities said the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office assisted Nicoma Park Police Department with a barricaded subject in the 11400 block of N. Stewart Avenue. The incident started around 7 p.m. when the subject's wife went to the Nicoma Park police station and reported that her husband assaulted her, officials said.

Nicoma Park police, along with other agencies went to the house and found the subject barricaded inside. The subject was known to be armed and under the influence of intoxicants, so Nicoma Park requested assistance from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office SWAT.

Once SWAT members arrived, the man surrendered just after 8 p.m. He is currently in custody, according to authorities.
