Adrian Peterson will not serve any jail time after reaching a plea deal in his child-abuse case, according to multiple reports.

Peterson was facing felony child-abuse charges after photos of cuts on his 4-year-old son surfaced and Peterson admitted to whipping the child with a switch or tree branch.

By entering a no contest plea to misdemeanor reckless assault, Peterson will face a $2,000 fine, be placed on probation and must complete 80 hours of community service.

The Minnesota Vikings running back has been on the Commissioner's Exempt list, suspended from team activities but still receiving pay.
