OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City man was arrested after randomly attacking three other men with a knife on the southwest side of the metro, Sunday night.

According to the police report, it all started just before 9 p.m. in the 1000 block of SW Binkley St., when two friends in their early 20s were walking down the street. One of the men told police they were walking to his cousin's house when the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Inocente Cossio, walked out of a nearby home and began “talking trash”.

The two men said they told Cossio they did not want any trouble and continued walking down the street. However, just before arriving at the cousin's house, they noticed that Cossio was still following them. The men said when they turned around Cossio pulled out a knife and began attacking them.

One of the men grabbed for Cossio's arm that was holding the knife, but Cossio pulled away and slashed his hand. Cossio then ran away and the two men went inside the cousin's house to call police and bandage the wound. They say when they came back outside another victim, a man in his 40s, was lying in the street.

The two men helped get the third victim inside, at which time they said they saw police and ambulances arriving. Once on scene police searched the area and found Cossio hiding in a backyard. They later learned that the third man he attacked also had a knife and tried to fight back.

Cossio was first taken to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for cuts to his hands. Once he was medically cleared, officers transported Cossio to the Oklahoma County Jail. He was booked on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Obstructing a Police Officer for Providing False Information.

A background check on Cossio also yielded a cache of outstanding warrants, from both the city and the county, ranging from Driving Under Suspension and Failure to Appear in Court, to Possession of a Firearm after a Felony Conviction. His bond has not yet been set by a judge.

Neither of the first two victims was seriously injured. The condition of the third man is not known at this time.
