Candidates in local, state and national races are making a final push Monday to gain voters before election day tomorrow, November 4, 2014.

According to Oklahoma Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax there are 2,022,456 Oklahomans registered to vote Tuesday.

Ziriax says Democrats narrowly retained their status as Oklahoma's largest political party by 2,897 voters. He says the number of  independents continues to grow and they now make up 12.7 percent of Oklahoma's registered voters.

There are several high profile races on Tuesday's ballot including Oklahoma's two U.S. Senate seats, governor and superintendent of public Instruction.

Republican incumbent U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe, a Republican, is facing off against Democrat Matt Silverman and three Independent candidates; Aaron DeLozier, Ray Woods and Joan Farr.

Three candidates are seeking the unexpired term of U.S. Senator Tom Coburn. They are current 5th District Congressman Republican James Lankford, Democrat Connie Johnson and Independent Mark Beard.

Running for her second term as governor is Republican Mary Fallin. Her challengers include Democrat Joe Dorman and two Independent candidates, Kimberly Willis and Richard Prawdzienski.

John Cox, a Democrat, is running against Republican Joy Hofmeister for state superintendent of public instruction.

The polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7p.m.m on Tuesday.
