OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed during an attempted robbery Friday afternoon at a northwest Oklahoma City home.

According to police, just before 1 p.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting at a home in the 1500 block of N. Miller. Police believe a male suspect entered the home and shot a woman inside.

Police said the suspect ran away from the scene following the shooting.

Several police cars swarmed the area after receiving the call. Officers have taken at least two people in for questioning.

Neighbors said they saw a lot of suspicious activity and a lot of men and women coming in and out of the house where the shooting occurred.

Police said when they arrived, the woman was still alive, so she was rushed to a local hospital where she died a short time later.
