A 21-year-old Stillwater man is being held without bond after police say he used a large machete-like sword to slash one of his close friends to death.

A 21-year-old Stillwater man is being held without bond after police say he used a large machete-like sword to slash one of his close friends to death.

Court documents say Isaiah Isaiah Marin was playing cards with his brother in a west Stillwater apartment Wednesday afternoon. Police say 19-year-old Jacob Crockett was watching the card game, when Marin pulled the sword from its sheath.

Police say Marin attacked Crockett, nearly decapitating him.

Antriana Wright says she went to Stillwater High School with both Crockett and Marin.

"It's a complete shock to know them both and realize one was capable of doing that got one of his friends," said Wright.

Police say Marin admitted to recently fantasizing about committing multiple homicides..and Crockett was one of his targets.
