LOGAN COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Logan County investigators continue to sift through thousands of dollars' worth of stolen property found last week in south Logan County off Sooner Road.

What started off as a traffic stop for a stolen welder led them to a backyard full of stolen goods.

TheSheriff'ss office said this is the largest amount of stolen property ever recovered. Right now they are estimating the value to be at $200,000 and authorities say that number still could go up.

“The sheer number of stolen large equipment is unusual. Usually, we'll get a trailer here a trailer there, a skid steer or front-in loader somewhere. One or two implements. An operation of this size is pretty unusual,” said Chief Deputy Richard Stephens, with the Logan County Sheriff's Office.

It was unusual because on Wednesday investigators found more than a dozen stolen items at this home; things like tractors, trailers and, building materials, and that's not all. Nearly 20 grams of methamphetamine and a sawed off shotgun were discovered inside a shed on the property.

Stephens chalked up this recovery to good old fashioned police work.

“You follow up on one stolen item and follow that through sometime you find more criminal activity,” said Stephens.

During their search on Wednesday, two other people showed up with what's believed to be a stolen truck and trailer.

Ray Helton and Athena Russell were arrested in connection to the theft. However, authorities are still looking for their last person of interest, Allen Hand. Authorities believe Hand is still in the OKC metro. If you know of his whereabouts, you are asked to call police.
