YUKON, Oklahoma -

Authorities shut down Highway 66 while crews worked to contain a fire on a ruptured gas line, in between N. Sara Rd. and N. Yukon Parkway, Tuesday night.

Oklahoma City firefighters, along with crews with Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) were called to the scene.

Witnesses say flames from the ruptured gas line were shooting out at least 15 feet into the air. News 9 is told that a construction crew accidentally hit the line, causing the rupture.

No one had to be evacuated because of the leak and there have been no reports of injuries. The fire was out as of 10:15 p.m.
