OSBI Lifts Fingerprint To Identify Chickasha Human Remains

Investigators identified the human remains discovered Friday in Chickasha near 4th Street and Frisco Avenue.

However, the person's name will not be released until the victim's next of kin is notified.

Investigators responded to the scene on Friday after a groundskeeper found the remains near Line Creek. Chickasha police officers and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) worked at the scene to collect the remains.

Experts with OSBI lifted a fingerprint from the body to make the identification. The Office of the State Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. OSBI considered the death “suspicious.”
