Tulsa Police are investigating the city's 46th homicide of 2014.

Officers responded to the 700 block of East 32nd Place North just after 8:30 p.m. They found Kenneth McNack Jr., 29, dead sitting inside a Chevy Impala. The car was parked near the driveway of a home.

Sergeant Dave Walker said witnesses told officers a dark colored 4-door sedan and another car pulled up to the Impala and a man got out, walked up to the Impala and shot Mcnack several times at close range.

The only description of the shooter was he was a stocky male.

Sgt. Walker said the shooter then got back into one of the cars and both vehicles drove north on Hartford.

He says it's too early in  the investigation to determine a motive for the murder. He says McNack did not own the Impala and did not live at the house where he was parked.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections shows McNack was released from prison in July 2014 after serving less than a year of a 2-year sentence for possession of a controlled drug. Court records show McNack had several convictions out of Tulsa County for assault, drug possession and robbery.

Sgt. Dave Walker is asking anyone with information about the shooter to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 918-596-COPS.
