Firefighters Battle Blaze At OKC Paper Shredding Business

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City firefighters doused a blaze at a paper shredding business on the west side of the metro, Tuesday evening.

Fire crews were first called out to the scene at the Mobile Shredding Company, located at 340 N. Rockwell Ave. When firefighters first arrived they noted seeing smoke pouring out from the roof of the business.

Crews had to cut into sliding garage doors on either side of the front of the building in order to get inside and fight the fire. An initial investigation as to the cause indicates that a shredding machine may have caught fire.

Authorities have not said how much damage the fire caused to the business. It is not clear if anyone was at the business when the fire broke out.
