A missing Caddo County teen traveled more than 3,000 miles before being found in New Mexico.

Alexis Blum, 16, was last tracked to Oklahoma City using her father's Pike Pass. But six days later, she was pulled over in New Mexico.

It was a bold trek across the country and her parents really didn't know why.

This all apparently started because of a teen dating website.

A couple of days ago, Alexis' parents were able to gain access to their daughter's account and track her every move.

“We're relieved, but we still can't believe it all really happened,” said Alexis' mother, Christina Blum. “I cannot even fathom that she made it that far, I mean, no driving experience.”

A possible meet up with someone off teen dating website mylol.com turned into a cross country road trip for Alexis.

“I mean, she left Monday, and we know she headed toward Oklahoma City. From there, the person she was supposed to meet up with didn't work out,” said Blum.

So, Blum said Alexis drove to California!

“One of my family members got on to mylol.com and spent hours going through profiles, and found Alexis' picture,” said Blum.

And from there, Blum said they began to track her daughter's every move thousands of miles away from home.

Alexis left her home in Cement around 2 a.m. Oct. 15.

“My husband got on a plane, flew out to LAX,” said Blum.

Christina said Alexis stopped at Best Buy stores in different cities along the way, logging into her account and updating her locations. But, by the time her father arrived, Alexis had already made it to Las Vegas!

So, he rented a car and headed that way.

“She would post anything random. She was looking for anybody to hang out with and have a good time,” said Blum.

After five days, Alexis was pulled over and taken into custody by New Mexico state police.

“If we would not have found her profile on mylol.com, we would still be looking for her right now,” said Blum.

Alexis is being held in New Mexico at a juvenile detention center. She's expected to return home sometime tomorrow. Her parents aren't sure at this point if she actually met someone in person using the teen dating website.
