USGS Reports 3.5 Quake In Okfuskee County Monday
OKFUSKEE COUNTY, Oklahoma - The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake Okfuskee County Monday afternoon.
The 3.5 magnitude quake was more than two miles deep.
The USGS reported the earthquake shook the area six miles southwest of Boley and 21 miles east, northeast of Shawnee at 3:34 p.m.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
