Norman Public Schools officials arranged for more frequent cleaning rotations within all schools in light of the Ebola crisis and Enterovirus D68 in the US.

District leaders said doorknobs, bathrooms, cafeterias, water fountains and highly-trafficked surfaces will be cleaned more often. School officials also arranged for hand sanitizer to be available at all main entrances and in bathrooms.

The district's nurse also reportedly met with each school's health personnel to go over protocol for responding to students with certain health complaints.

More information on the efforts to prepare and inform students, parents and staff of best health practices was posted on the district's website.
