Fire officials said a car fire in southwest Oklahoma City was intentionally set early Tuesday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, at about 5 a.m. someone called 911 to report a fire in the 2800 block of S.W. 32nd Street. However, when firefighters arrived, they could not locate a fire in the area. So they returned to the fire station.
A short time later, the same person called 911 again to report a fire at the same location. Firefighters returned and still could not locate a fire. But on their way back, the same person called again, officials said.
When firefighters returned to the same location a third time, they saw a car on fire. They were able to put out the fire quickly.
Fire officials said they are investigating the fire as arson. There were remnants of accelerant on top of and beside the car.
