I'm reading and seeing a lot of reports tonight that our bombing of ISIS targets is not slowing much their march across Iraq and Syria.

In fact some journalists say ISIS is on the verge of massacring thousands of people in Kobani, a Syrian city that sits right on the border with Turkey.

This despite the fact we're spending from $7-10 million every day lobbing tomahawk missiles and dropping smart bombs on ISIS.

It's not enough.

And not very encouraging that today President Obama's former CIA Director and Defense Secretary, long time Democratic leader Leon Panetta, came out saying his former boss has "lost his way."

Panetta has lined it all out in his new memoir, and some will argue that he's only trying to sell books.

He says the decisions the President has made over the past 3 years, ie. pulling out of Iraq entirely, has made the battle against Islamic extremists more difficult.

And one last sobering thought from Panetta, when asked about how long it will take us to defeat ISIS, the Jihadist threat in general he said he says it's going to take a sustained effort... "I think we're looking at kind of a 30-year war."

Let that sink in..

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
