OHP: High-Speed Chase Ends In Crash, Arrest On I-40 Near El Reno

EL RENO, Oklahoma -

State troopers have ended a high speed chase along Interstate 40 just west of El Reno.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the chase started when one trooper attempted to stop the driver of the car for speeding, but the driver refused pull over.

The driver slammed his car into a cable barrier near mile marker 121, just west of El Reno. Troopers were able to take the driver into custody.

Authorities said the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He has not been identified.

No one was injured during the incident.
