Sentinel Driver Dies In Highway 44 Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash in Washita County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash in Washita County. OHP officials said the crash occurred at some point between 5:30 p.m. on Monday and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 

OHP officials said 49-year-old Angie Lafleur, of Sentinel was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Highway 44 about a mile and a half south of Sentinel. 

Lafleur was headed northbound on Highway 44, when for an unknown reason went off the road to the left, hitting a highway sign and continuing for 255 feet to hit an embankment. 

The condition of the driver at the time of the crash is unknown and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
