Police say a search for a man who stabbed someone in a domestic fight caused Jenks schools to go on lockdown on Monday morning.

According to a news release, authorities were called to the 100 block of West H Street about 8:20 a.m. in regards to a person who had been stabbed and another who left the scene in a vehicle.

“This address is in close proximity with Jenks Public Schools and they made the determination to lock those buildings down for safety,” Jenks Police Department Support Commander Paul Rinkel said. “A short time later, the suspect was located and placed into custody.”
