Police Seek Food Mart Robbery Suspect In NW OKC

Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of robbing a food mart in northwest Oklahoma City, Wednesday night.

Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of robbing a food mart in northwest Oklahoma City, Wednesday night.

According to Oklahoma City police, officers responded to a robbery around 10:15 p.m. on September 24 at the DNC Food Mart, located at 1123 N. May Avenue.

Surveillance video captures the man walking into the store, looking around, leaving and returning minutes later. The video shows the man approaching the counter, setting down a bottle, reaching into his right waistband and producing a pistol.

The police report states the clerk told officers the man asked for money. The video then shows the clerk running away, and the suspect fleeing the scene without anything.

The man is described in the police report as a Mexican male with black hair and brown eyes, about 5'4” and 150 pounds, wearing a dark blue hoodie, blue jeans, blue ball cap, blue backpack, riding a dark mountain bicycle and carrying an automatic handgun.
