OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City couple lost their pets in an early morning house fire.

At around 1 a.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a fire at a home on N.W. 9th near Klein Avenue.

Fire officials said a couch caught fire and did some damage to the inside of the home. Two dogs died due to the amount of smoke that filled the house.

The fire caused about $2,000 worth of damage to the home. But we're told if the couple didn't come home when they did, the whole house may have been gone.
