There was a joyful reunion between a 2-year-old little girl and her grandparents, after the toddler was kidnapped from their home Monday night.

Lanie Bishop is now back in Oklahoma after a whirlwind trip across the border to Texas with her mother, 35-year-old Lilian Baker.

“She threw Lanie in the car, offered my son Tony money, and said she was going to get them no matter what,” said Jo Ann Bishop, Lanie's grandmother, who has court ordered custody of Lanie and her 4-year-old brother, Anthony.

Bishop contacted police as soon as it happened. She has taken care of Lanie and Anthony ever since they were babies, and she feared for the little girl's safety.

“I couldn't even think straight,” said Bishop. “I couldn't even think what she would do to her no car seat no nothing.”

Oklahoma City police put out an all-points bulletin for Baker, who has had several run-ins with the law in the past few years. She managed to take I-44 all the way into Texas. But Police were able to track Baker's cell phone. And just before an Amber Alert went out, officers near Wichita Falls, Texas spotted the car and took Baker into custody.

When Jo Ann found out Lanie was safe, she finally was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

“I could quit crying knowing that Lanie was alright,” smiled Bishop.

Jo Ann feared she would never see this precious face again and she's just glad Lanie's back home. Both she and Grandpa Frank are grateful for the Oklahoma City officers who went the extra mile to sure they were reunited.

“The officers gave us money to go get them,” cried Bishop. “I don't know what we would have done without them.”

And while Lanie is safe at home, Baker is still behind bars in Texas, where she will remain without bond until the Oklahoma County DA's office determines what charges will be filed.

Bishop says Baker has given birth to four children and does not have custody of any of them. For now she stands accused of interference with child custody.
