Silver Alert Canceled, Missing OKC Man Found

Oklahoma City police said an 83-year-old man who was reported missing Saturday evening was found Sunday morning. Details surrounding his condition and the location where he was found have not been released.

The Oklahoma City Police Department's Crime Information Unit issued a Silver Alert for Melvin Campbell just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Campbell was reported to have been last seen around 6:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of S.W. 56th Street.

The Silver Alert report described Campbell as a white male, wearing glasses and dentures. It stated the he was last seen wearing a charcoal, gray t-shirt with black sleeves and blue jeans. A photograph was not provided.

His vehicle was described as a maroon, 1998 Ford Ranger pickup with Oklahoma tag number 751FAD. The pickup reportedly has chrome railing on the sides of the bed and a dent on the passenger side.

Police said Campbell has Alzheimer's disease, and he is on blood pressure medication.

The Silver Alert report also listed Campbell as considered to be under proven medical or physical disability and in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.
