Police are keeping an eye out for a couple of robbers believed to be armed and dangerous.

The brazen pair has already strong-armed a woman in her driveway near Larchmont Lane and Western in Nichols Hills, and officers are concerned the violence will only escalate if the armed robbers are not caught soon.

The 911 call best described the scene after 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

Dispatch: Nichols Hills 911? What's the emergency there?

Caller: I just got mugged at gunpoint by two black men, and they broke into my car.

Dispatch: How long ago did that happen?

Caller: About five minutes ago, not even that.

The armed robbers vanished from the victim's home just as quick as they appeared.

"They followed me in... from Western," the victim told police. "I didn't even notice they were following me until they blocked me in the driveway."

She could not give a better description of the suspects, but she did remember what the car looked like as it blocked her in the driveway of her home in the 1100 block of Larchmont.

"She noticed that a car had turned behind her but really didn't suspect anything unusual," said Nichols Hills Police Chief Richard Mask. "She turned into her driveway, and as she did, a light colored sedan with tinted windows pulled in behind her."

The suspects made off with her purse, but, fortunately for Nichols Hills Police, they left behind some evidence.

"We were able to get some good prints from the scene that we are currently processing," Mask said.

Investigators also discovered the same suspects robbed a man a few miles away, near Britton and Western, around 9:30 that evening.

In that case, the robbers pointed a gun at the victim and yelled, "Stop or I'll pop you."

"I would also warn people not to approach the robbers and not to confront them in any way, because you don't want to provoke them into taking further action," said Mask. "In this case, someone could have easily been killed."

If you notice the gold sedan following you, police suggest you call 911 and drive straight to the closest police department.
