Oklahoma City police are releasing surveillance video they hope will lead them right to two men who held up a store clerk at gunpoint.

Police believe the two men actually robbed two Family Dollar stores just a few miles and a few minutes apart. The video picks up with the two suspects already in the store. We've blurred the clerks face for her protection.

The clerk walks over to the register to help the first suspect, who hands her a purple box. She starts ringing it up, he goes for his pockets to pull out cash. And then that's when he and his partner strike. The second suspect rushes behind the counter and points a long gun that looks like a rifle at the clerk while his partner jumps over the counter and starts taking cash out of the register. The entire time they keep the gun pointed at the terrified female clerk.

This all happened at the Family Dollar store at NE 23rd and Martin Luther King Blvd. just after 8 p.m. Monday. The two are also believed to have hit the Family Dollar store near SE 44th and

Sunnylane Rd. an hour later, but it appears one of them stayed out of sight.

“A single suspect walked in with a shotgun. He could not get the cash register open, but he did steal money from a customer's purse that was in the store,” said MSgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

But at the first store, they made sure they completely emptied the register, checking every corner before they take off, leaving the clerk stunned and shaken, but thankful she's still alive and OK.

If you know who these brazen guys are, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
