Man Arrested In Connection With Lawton Fatal Shooting

LAWTON, Oklahoma -

One man was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with a shooting that killed one man and injured another.

According to Lawton police, just after midnight Thursday, officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 7000 block of N.W. Kingsbury. When they arrived, they found two victims who had been shot.

Robert Anderson, 31, had been shot multiple times and Allen Anderson, 32, had been shot at least twice, police said.

Robert Anderson was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital and treated for his injuries. However, police said Allen Anderson died from his wounds.

Lawton police said 25-year-old Victor Juan Copeland was arrested late Thursday afternoon for his involvement in the shooting.

They said the investigation is ongoing.
