WARR ACRES, Oklahoma -

A brazen thief walks out of a metro store with a diamond ring worth thousands of dollars, and it was all caught on tape.

The suspect didn't waste any time before pulling off the high dollar heist.

It happened at Kirk's Pawn Shop in Warr Acres. The place has been in business for years, but it took a matter of minutes for a man to walk out with an expensive piece of jewelry.

“We almost got robbed once, almost,” Tyler Potts said.

The next closest thing to that in the 20 plus years Kirk's Pawn Shop has been in business was a man who recently walked in and stole a ring.

“He's coming in right here,” said Potts as he watched the surveillance video. “He's got something in his hand. He's got a wrapper. He was eating a little cake or something.”

The suspect also left with something in his hand that was much more valuable and a whole lot sweeter than the Little Debbie he walked in with. You can hear the man talk as he walks up to the counter.

“I'm looking for your jewelry,” said the suspect. “I was going to buy a little jewelry from you.”

“He's completely cool about," said Potts. "He's real casual and not a worry in his mind.”

The suspect has his plan down pat. He tells the owner he's looking for something special, so the owner shows him one of his most unique pieces – a pear shaped diamond ring.

The man holds onto it.

“He's got the ring in his hand the whole time,” Potts said.

He then asks to see something else.

"He said, ‘I want to get me a chain to go with it,'” Potts said.

The owner goes to the back of the store to find one. The suspect looks familiar to Potts.

“I know he'd been in here before, but I'd say it has been a good six months since he'd been in here,” Potts said.

The video shows the man mosey over to speakers that are on display.

“He's looking at them like he's interested in them,” said Potts. “He's got the ring, and then he just gradually walks out the front door.”

The suspect slips the ring into his pocket and walks out the door.

The owner is still in the back, and Potts didn't know the man had the ring until he was gone.

Video shows him walk out of the store and motion to someone. He then gives a thumbs up as he walks away from the pawn shop.

“He sticks his thumb up like, ‘I got it,'” Potts said.
