Oklahoma City police recovered a stolen iPhone using the "Find My iPhone" app. Two people were arrested as a result of the investigation.

According to police, at about 3 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a grand larceny report at Best Buy, located at 5801 N. May.

A Best Buy employee told police he was helping two customers with a transaction. After the two left, the employee's phone, which was next to him on the counter, was missing.

After reviewing a surveillance video, police said it appeared that one of the customers, 22-year-old Rachael Kay Callaway, acted to distract the victim while the other customer, 28-year-old Roel Quintanilla, grabbed the iPhone and immediately put it in his pocket. The two then left the store together.

Officers said they used the “Find My iPhone” app and tracked the victim's phone to I-240 and Penn., where a used cellphone purchaser/seller is located.

Officers went into the store and showed a photo of the two suspects to an employee there. That employee confirmed the two had just left.

The employee told police that Callaway was flirting with him and gave him her phone number. So he called that number and asked her to come back to the store.

Shortly after, police said the two suspects returned in a red Nissan Altima. Officers confronted them about the phone. Quintanilla reportedly told police he had mistakenly taken the victim's phone because he thought it was his.

The suspects gave officers permission to search their vehicle. Officers said they found the stolen iPhone in the car. They also found multiple prescription pills along with a GPS tracking unit that had been discovered and destroyed in the suspects' possession. Police said the suspects did not have a prescription for the pills.

According to police, officers found nearly $1,400 in cash, and they said the money was in close proximity to an amount of drugs they believe to be more than personal use.

Quintanilla and Callaway were both arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on several charges, including grand larceny, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, receiving/concealing stolen property, and possession of drug proceeds.
