FBI Investigates Bank Robbery In Northwest OKC

The Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Oklahoma City Police Department are working together to find the person responsible for a bank robbery at the Bank of West on the 5000 block of N. Pennsylvania Avenue in Oklahoma City.

Just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, a man displayed a demand note to a teller. Police said the man implied he had a gun, but no weapon was seen. Investigators said the teller complied with the demand and the man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt in the robbery.

Surveillance photos and witness descriptions confirm the subject was a black male in his mid-20's. He stood about 5'9 tall, weighing 150 lbs.

The subject wore a large black jacket, red shirt with horizontal white stripes, blue jeans, dark aviator sunglasses, red and white tennis shoes and a black cap with a flat red white and white writing across the front.

Anyone with information should contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770 at any time. Callers may remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Bankers Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for robbing a member bank.
