Lisa Robbins was very reserved as she was walked into the courtroom for her sentencing hearing before the judge.

A jury recommended a sentence of one year in prison and a $1,000 fine in the death of her husband.

That same jury found her guilty of negligent homicide but not guilty of first-degree murder.

Robbins spent a total of 23 months in the Oklahoma County jail awaiting her trial.

Prosecutors had asked for the judge to not give Robbins credit for time already served, but the defense disputed that saying she had spent almost two years behind bars awaiting her trial, and a judge agreed.

When asked how she felt about the judge giving her credit for time served, she said it was wonderful.

“I'm blessed!” Robbins said.

Robbins admits she grieves the loss of her husband.

“I feel bad about it, because, you know, he was my husband,” said Robbins. ”I did love him, and I never intended for no harm or anything like that. Nothing was done out of malice or intent.”

Harry Robbins died after the two got into a fight on October 5, 2012.

Lisa's attorney says Robbins tried to leave in her car, but her husband wouldn't let her and jumped on the hood. When she tried to drive off, his head hit the pavement.

“Ms. Robbins maintained her position from the very beginning that her goal and intent was simply to leave," said Tony Coleman, Robbins' defense attorney. "She was trying to leave. She was not trying to hurt or kill anyone at that time, and unfortunately she lost her husband as a result of those actions.”

Both Robbins and her husband, Harry, had a very rocky relationship. A VPO was filed by Harry Robbins back in 2007, but the two stayed together.

It was a fight they had in October of 2012, six months after they were married, that resulted in his death.

Robbins says she never meant for that to happen.

As she made her last walk to the jail elevator, she had a moment to think about her new found freedom, and when asked what she will do now, her answer was simple, “Serving the Lord.”

Robbins still has to be processed out of the Oklahoma county jail. She is expected to be released this weekend.
