STILLWATER, Oklahoma -

An Oklahoma State University (OSU) fountain is cleaned up after being dyed maroon with latex paint.

OSU officials said Friday there wasn't any permanent damage done. A police report was filed by the people who discovered it.

Authorities said they are not pursuing any suspects in the matter. It is being chalked up to a prank.

Matt Fletcher, an OSU fan, believes upcoming opponent Missouri State is responsible for the fountain's color.

“Messing with our fountain is a bold move, Missouri State. Let's see how that works out for you tomorrow. #okstate,” he said in a tweet posted with a photo of the Edmon Low Library fountain's maroon water.
