NORMAN, Oklahoma -

The Norman Police Department allowed media members to view the security video of the incident that led to Oklahoma freshman running back Joe Mixon being charged with a misdemeanor.

Approximately 40 members of the media viewed the two and half minute video including News 9 Sports Director Dean Blevins, News 9 Reporter Lisa Monahan, and photojournalist Bo Turner.

The department did not allow the media to record the video.

The video shows a 22-second exchange inside Pickleman's Restaurant where 20-year-old Amelia Molitor calls Joe Mixon over to a table where she and her friends were talking. No audio was available in the recording, but it appeared as though Mixon made a comment to Molitor's friend.

Molitor appeared angry at the comment, made a remark to Mixon, and then pushed him with two hands. Mixon could be seen lunging back at Molitor but showed restraint. Molitor then slapped him and he fired back with a punch.

Molitor fell to the ground and laid there for approximately 40 seconds before stumbling to a nearby chair.

Several patrons of the restaurant came to her aid. About a minute later she grabbed her phone and walked out of view of the camera.

News 9 Reporter Lisa Monahan is following the story. Stay with News 9 and News9.com for updates.
