Police have recovered the body of another drowning victim at Lake Murray on Tuesday.

Authorities recovered the body of 24-year-old Rodney Hinez Tuesday afternoon.

According to the police report, Hinez was swimming with a friend in shallow water near the south end of Marina Beach when the two hit a deep patch in the lake. Police say Hinez could not swim, and once he went under he did not resurface.

The incident occurred approximately 125 feet from the shoreline, in about 10 feet of water.

Hinez was transported to the Craddock Funeral Home in Ardmore. He is the second drowning victim at Lake Murray in the last three days.

On Sunday, 31-year-old Eduardo Luna was swimming in the Cisco Road area of Lake Murray when his wife and child stepped into deeper water. He drowned when he attempted to push his wife and child into shallower water.
