After a long and drawn-out process, Kevin Durant stayed with Nike after all.

With a massive $265-285 million offer from Under Armour on the table, Nike came back with a 10-year deal in which the Thunder star will reportedly be set to make a whopping $300 million, according to a report from ESPN's Darren Rovell and Marc Stein.

And if that number isn't big enough, the report indicates that the figure is flexible and could rise with royalties on increased sales on his player-specific lines.

If the $300 million figure is accurate, the reigning MVP will earn more from his Nike endorsement than he will from his remaining maximum contract with Oklahoma City over the next two seasons.

The exact figure is not confirmed but Nike's decision to match – and reportedly exceed – Under Armour's offer is a wise move for the shoe company with Kobe Bryant on the downside of his career and LeBron James approaching an inevitable decline at some point. Durant is the clear go-to right now to represent the future of the league.

This move could also prove beneficial to Oklahoma City, seeing as Under Armour is headquartered near Washington D.C., which is Durant's home town and the Wizards are believed to pose the biggest threat to luring KD away from OKC.
