Rain, Cooler Temperatures Moving Into Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

Our hot and dry weather will finally come to an end, temporarily. A cold front to our northwest will slowly move east Thursday evening and overnight bringing showers and thunderstorms.

Widespread severe weather is not likely, but isolated storms with hail up to quarter size and damaging winds up to 70 mph cannot be ruled out.

The slow movement of this front will keep the chance for rain going through early Friday before shifting farther east bringing eastern Oklahoma a more likely chance of rain Friday night. Temperatures fall to the mid to upper 80s as we wrap up the work week.

Skies slowly clear out this weekend with more hot but tolerable temperatures for both Saturday and Sunday.
