You know summer is dwindling down when we start talking college football. The Sooners have its first home game Saturday night in Norman, which means drivers in that area can expect congestion.

Sooner fans expect it every Saturday -- Game Day traffic. The Norman Police Department says all lanes of I-35 near the Lindsey Street interchange are open. You should slow down though if you see construction workers, safety barriers and construction signs.

Where you can certainly expect delays is on Highway 9. It is down to just one lane due to construction. We are talking about a four mile stretch between Classen and 48th Avenue Southeast.

For anyone who is east of campus, you may want to head north and use Lindsey Street instead as you make your way toward the stadium.

Norman Police say the department will provide pre-game traffic assistance along Lindsey Street from I-35 to Elm Avenue.

Post-game support will focus on west bound Lindsey Street traffic and anyone going east to 12th Avenue SE.
