Earthquakes Reported Near Guthrie, Medford

The United States Geological Survey reported earthquakes near Guthrie and Medford, Saturday.

A 3.2 magnitude earthquake was reported at 6:06 a.m. Saturday, two miles south of Guthrie and 12 miles north of Edmond. The depth was over one mile.

Then at 6:22 a.m., a 3.2 magnitude quake was reported 12 miles southwest of Medford and 19 miles north of Enid. It was recorded as over three miles deep.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
