Two men have been arrested in connection with a Porter arson where a horse and two dogs were killed.

Multiple law enforcement agencies worked together to serve search and arrest warrants in the 36500 block of East 231 Street South for Michael Lee Smith and Charles Wayne Smith around 6:00 Friday morning.

Reports say the warrants are connected to a May 20th arson in the 22500 block of South 365th East Avenue where a horse and two dogs were found shot and killed.

Both Michael and Charles were arrested for conspiracy to commit 1st degree arson, 1st degree arson and three counts of animal cruelty. He's being held on a $75,000 bond.

Michael was also arrested for possession with intent to deliver a controlled drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled drug in the presence of a minor child. No bond has been for those charges.
