Police: Band Trailer, Equipment Stolen From Lawton School

A marching band in Lawton cannot practice on Friday because someone stole thousands of dollars in equipment and instruments.

According to Lawton police, early Thursday morning, someone stole MacArthur High School’s band trailer from the parking lot.

We're told all the band's instruments were stored in that trailer, everything from trumpets to snare drums, totaling about $90,000.

Right now, the school is trying to figure out how much of the stolen property their insurance will cover.

Directors said the band might be forced to cancel a few events.
