There's no doubt the Ice Bucket Challenge is flooding social media. It seems everyone is posting video of dumping water on themselves.

It's all to raise awareness and money for ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. Well, it seems some groups and organizations are giving the challenge a cold shoulder.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Cincinnati Archdiocese has warned Catholic school principals against donating to the ALS Association.

The paper says the Archdiocese is concerned the money being donated could wind up funding research that uses embryonic stem cells.

An embryo has to be destroyed to get its stem cells, and many Catholics trace that back to abortion.

The ALS Association says it has received nearly $23 million in public donations over the last three weeks because of the challenge. The association received just $1.9 million during the same period last year.

We should note there are others against the Ice Bucket Challenge. Some say the challenge is simply wasting water in states that are struggling with drought conditions.
