Oklahoma City police are looking for a man who is accused of beating and strangling his girlfriend.

According to police, on Sunday, August 3, officers responded to the report of a domestic abuse at an apartment in the 2000 block of S. MacArthur in Oklahoma City. The victim said she had been beaten up by her boyfriend, 29-year-old Taylor James Elledge, and that she could not walk.

The victim told police that Elledge came home drunk and took her to the back bedroom. He reportedly punched her multiple times and threw her into the wall. The victim said Elledge told her that she was going to die.

Elledge, police said, then kicked the victim numerous times and choked her until she passed out. When the victim woke up, she said Elledge took her cell phone and would not allow her to leave.

Luckily, police said a friend stopped by and helped the victim call police after Elledge left the apartment.

The victim told police this wasn't the first time Elledge has abused her. Police said they consider Elledge to be a dangerous man and ask the public to call 911 immediately if they know where he is.

Elledge was driving a newer model black Chevy Tahoe with black rims. He currently has an active warrant for assault and battery with intent to kill.
