Oklahoma City police are still searching for a woman accused of returning “iPhones” to two metro Walmart stores, but inside the packages, the phones were replaced with decks of cards.

On August 10, the woman went to the Walmart at W. Memorial Road and N. Pennsylvania Avenue to return a cell phone for cash.

“She had what appeared to be a brand new iPhone shrink-wrapped inside of the box that she was wanting a cash refund for,” Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow explained.

The suspect showed the clerk a receipt for the iPhone 5S purchased from the Walmart in Guthrie, and the clerk refunded her $771 in cash.

After she left the store, the clerk opened the box and found two decks of playing cards but no phone.

Police say the woman hit a second Walmart near Northwest Expressway and N. Council Road within hours of the first incident.

According to Oklahoma City police, the woman brought what appeared to be a sealed, new cell phone to customer service for a return at both Walmart stores, and she was got away with over $1,500 total that day.

Investigators are now asking the public's assistance in identifying the woman in the surveillance video and pictures.

If you recognize the woman or have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
