A Yukon woman has been arrested on child rape charges involving a boy she was supposed to be supervising at a drug rehab center.

Amy Thompson, 32, of Yukon is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

According to investigators, the relationship started in February when Thompson was working at the Ft. Reno Adolescent Center, where the boy was in rehab.

“She's supposed to be a person that is there looking after these people," said Canadian County Undersheriff Chris West. "These kids is basically what we're talking about, making sure that they're safe and secure, and they're getting the kind of rehab and treatment that they need. So, she totally betrayed that trust.”

The boy's mother called the rehab center on Wednesday with allegations that her son had been sexually molested by Thompson.

The center then called the sheriff's office.

"We think it's pretty disgusting,” Undersheriff West said.

The Canadian County Sheriff's Office said Thompson admitted to groping the boy's genitals on six occasions at the center or on sponsored field trips.

“She worked out a plan, and that's by communicating with this young boy and telling him how attractive he is, and it developed over a period of time,” West explained.

Thompson left her job at the center in July, and then this week, investigators said she contacted the boy on Facebook and convinced him to sneak away with her.

“So he sneaks out of his house, she picks him up, they go to a motel in Oklahoma City, and she provides him enough alcohol for him to become inebriated and then she rapes him,” West told News 9.

Thompson is married with three children, and the sheriff's office said this is the first female child predator case they've had.

"We have a female predator, that's very uncommon,” West added.

Thompson was booked into the Canadian County jail on six counts of lewd acts and one count of first degree rape.

Her bond is set at $350,000.

The Ft. Reno Adolescent Center provided the following statement:

On August 13 we were notified by a parent, of a possible inappropriate relationship between an ex-employee and a client who is underage. We worked with the mother to determine if the person accused was actually an employee or ex-employee and notified the Canadian County Sheriff”s Office. Our facility is assisting the Sheriff's Office in every way possible to determine times and dates needed as well as possible technological evidence.

While we cannot speak to any certain case, and while every person is innocent until proven guilty, we can tell you that our facility takes extensive efforts in screening applicants and making every effort to ensure the safety of our clients. Unfortunately, there is no way to see the future, but we will continue to re-assess our procedures. We believe that anyone who abuses any child should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and we remain committed to serving the public and continuing to help families and children live more healthy lives.
