A three-time convicted felon and his female companion have been arrested in conjunction with a pipe bomb found inside a truck in a Broken Arrow neighborhood.

According to BA police, about 4:30 a.m. they received calls about suspicious people in the neighborhood near 2600 West Fort Worth Place. There were reports that one person was pushing motorcycle and the other one was in a black sport utility vehicle.

After arriving on scene, police said they found what they believed to be a pipe bomb out of the black truck, so they called in the Tulsa Bomb Squad. TPD was able to render the bomb harmless in place without risking danger to residents, a spokesperson said.

Investigators also said they found methamphetamine inside the black Saturn Vue, which, along with the motorcycle, turned out to be stolen.

BAPD Cpl. Leon Calhoun said Christopher Sebastian Rowe, 25, and Brittany Dawn Sellers, 20, have been booked into the Tulsa County jail. Rowe is being held on complaints of possession of an explosive device, two counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Sellers is being held on complaints of larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Rowe is a three-time convicted felon who has been found guilty of drugs charges and of stealing vehicles twice since May 2013. He currently is serving a suspended sentence in both cases.

Rowe also was arrested last month for possession of a firearm after the commission of a felony, possession a firearm while under supervision of the department of corrections, drug possession, possession or selling of paraphernalia while using a motor vehicle, driving without a license and no insurance.

According to a July 24 arrest report, an officer spotted Rowe driving suspiciously in an area that had seen a recent burglary spike. The officer said he found a gun in the back seat of the truck, marijuana, and Rowe had a hypodermic needle with blood in his pocket. He reportedly told the officer he had shot up meth recently.

Rowe was released on bond from the Tulsa County jail just eight days ago. Charges in that case still are pending.
