An Oklahoma County judge has sentenced a caretaker to serve four years behind bars, and 10 years suspended, on abuse and neglect charges stemming from an incident at an OKC retirement home.

Judge Donald Deason heard testimony from the family of nursing home abuse victim Anita Rich, who was a resident at a Grace Living Center, earlier Wednesday afternoon.

After hearing that testimony Deason handed down his sentence for Elizabeth Kibler, thought to be the harshest punishment set for abuse by a caretaker.

During Wednesday’s testimony hearing, Deason also reviewed video of Rich’s abuse, caught on hidden camera and reported to police in March 2013. The video reportedly showed Kibler covering Rich’s nose and mouth with a gloved hand that had been used to clean the victim. Family said Kibler’s gloves were soaked with urine and feces.

News 9 contacted Grace Living Center about Kibler's sentencing and we were told they are unavailable for comment. Members of Kibler’s family declined to comment as well.
