A minivan and a pickup collided on Highway 75 just north of I-44 Friday morning, injuring the two drivers, according to Tulsa Police.

Officers said a minivan headed south crossed over the center median cable barrier and hit a northbound pickup truck head-on at about 6:30 a.m. Police said the impacted pinned the driver of the minivan in the wreckage. Firefighters had to free her so that EMSA could take her to the hospital. The hospital said she is listed in serious condition.

Police said the driver of the pickup was not seriously injured. At last word he was listed in fair condition at a Tulsa hospital.

Tulsa Police Corporal Jason Muse said it appears the cable barrier didn’t prevent the crash because the minivan went over the barrier and into the northbound lanes.

The crash backed up northbound traffic for miles.
