A Cushing, Oklahoma, man is facing drug charges after police pulled him over and found marijuana in his car Saturday afternoon.

According to police, at about 2:30 p.m., an officer stopped a Ford Expedition driven by 33-year-old Jason Woodberry in the 200 block of N. Hartman.

The officers said Woodberry was driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was then arrested and placed in the back of the patrol car.

Due to having prior drug-related information on Woodberry, an officer and his K9 partner conducted an exterior air sniff of the vehicle. That’s when the K9 alerted to the presence of odor associated with illegal narcotics on the driver’s side of the car.

Officers then searched the car and found a small Ziplock baggie containing a loose green leafy substance. The substance later tested positive for marijuana, according to police.

Woodberry is now facing charges of possession of marijuana within 1000 feet of a park, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended.
