OKLAHOMA CITY -

The bomb squad responded to a southwest Oklahoma City home Sunday night after a woman came across something that looked suspicious in her garage.

According to police, just after 10 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the report of a suspicious item being found at a home on Waterview Road near Moccasin Lane. That’s not far from Westmoore High School.

Police officers ended up calling for the bomb squad to investigate further. The home was cleared and both firefighters and paramedics were on standby just in case something happened.

The bomb squad used a robotic device to safely remove the object from the garage. They later determined the device was not an explosive. At this time, police are not saying what exactly it was.
