Police Investigate Murder-Suicide In Edmond

Edmond Police continue their investigation after an apparent murder-suicide was discovered on Monday morning.

Police did a welfare check around 8:30 a.m. at the home, located on the 5500 block of Fairway Drive, in the gated Highlands neighborhood.

One of the two people, who lived there, had missed an appointment, which was unusual. Police said they found the bodies of a man and a woman inside.

“We still have not notified next of kin,” said Jenny Monroe, Edmond Police Spokesperson.

A source tells News 9 the couple owned a local business together; they were in their 50’s, and both Ambassadors with the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.

Police said the couple lived in the home for the past eight months.
